A customs bond covering duty foregone on goods imported temporarily for exhibition, repair or testing, pending their re-export within the stipulated period.

Know all men by these presents that whereas the Deputy Commissioner of Customs ICD Patparganj, New Delhi (hereinafter called as the said Deputy Commissioner of Customs) Which expression shall include the person for the time being performing the clearance of goods in the schedule herein under written without payment of duty livable thereon the accordance with the custom notification no. 158/95 dated 14-11-95 of custom tariff 1997.

We M/s xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx do hereby bind ourselves and each of and severally with the president of India to pay said commissioner of Customs for the time being the sum of Rs. xxxxxxxxxxxx (Rupees xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Only) towards Custom Duty subject to the condition written herein below.

Now the conditions of the written and bond are such that if the said importer xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx pay on demand in the event of his failure to contain with any of the aforesaid conditions as amount equal to the difference between the duty levied at the time of re-import and the duty livable on such goods at the time of importation out for the exemption contained herein, their heirs or equal representatives or any one of them shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the said Deputy Commissioner within 180 days from the date of documentary proof of having re-exported the goods mentioned in the schedule after repair of the goods but out of India or of the said xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx their heirs and legal representative of any of them shall in lieu of delivery of such documentary evidence or re-export of the goods mentioned in the schedule out of India.

Upon the demand by the said Commissioner of customs pay or cause to be paid to him on the behalf of the President of India sum of Rs. xxxxxxxxxxxxx (Rupees xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Only) towards the customs duty than the above written bond shall be void and of no effect otherwise the bond will remain in full force and virtue and is hereby declared that:
